At our next film club you will have the opportunity to see the fantastic film "Pride". This fabulous film is set during the 1984/5 miners strike. Based on a true story it depicts how a group of gay and lesbian activists raised money to help miners families in South Wales. How the 2 groups learnt of each others struggles and were changed by the experience. If you haven't seen it before I urge you to come and watch it. If like me you have seen it before then take the opportunity to watch it again and afterwards share insights and in some cases memories of the momentous period in working class history.
