North Tyneside Together!
North Tyneside Green Party member Jim Howard has been officially selected as the Green Party candidate and has been endorsed by Majority members and the North Tyneside Community Independents.
For the upcoming Longbenton and Benton by-election, The Green Party North Tyneside, Majority and the North Tyneside Community Independents will be campaigning under the banner of North Tyneside Together, bringing together progressive voices to challenge Labour, offer a clear alternative to Reform and get Jim elected on July 2nd
Jim is a member of both Majority the political movement and North Tyneside Green Party. He’s a recently retired engineer with the skills to get things done on behalf of the people of Longbenton & Benton.
Jim wants to help people with the cost-of-living crisis, lowering bills by insulating homes to keep people warm, and protecting our parks and green spaces so our kids and grandkids have somewhere safe to play. As an engineer, he’s proud of the North East’s industrial roots, and wants more skills training so people can earn good money in renewable energy, retrofitting homes, and electric vehicle manufacturing.
If you want to help get Jim elected, come to the campaign launch on Saturday 7th June. There’s a quick speech and a briefing, then we have 4,000 leaflets to get out. Meet 10am, Long Leaf Café, The Boulevard, Longbenton, NE12 8GA.
